A measuring tape, not a store

Rug Size Guide started from a simple frustration: rug advice online is either a static chart that ignores your furniture, or a shop funnel pushing the sizes a store happens to stock. We wanted the third option, a plain measuring tool. You enter your room and one furniture size. It answers with a standard size you can actually buy, draws it to scale, and hands you a tape outline to check on your own floor.

The method follows working interior-designer rules: anchor at least the front legs of your furniture, leave a border of bare floor showing, and size up when torn, unless a walkway or door says otherwise. Every answer shows its numbers, and when your first-choice size will not fit, the tool says so and names one that does.
